A Journey of Empowerment
Welcome to the Centre for Handicapped, where hope and support walk hand in hand. Established in 1992, we are dedicated to rebuilding lives affected by physical disabilities caused by illnesses, accidents, or birth defects. Our mission is to provide free, custom-built prosthetic and orthotic devices, wheelchairs, and crutches, empowering individuals to lead productive lives. With the generosity of donors worldwide, we’ve helped over 21,000 recipients across Sri Lanka regain mobility and confidence. Join us in creating brighter futures and smiles that last a lifetime.

Prosthetics & Orthotics

Ophthalmology Screening
Our Ophthalmology Unit is equipped to provide comprehensive eye screenings and tests, ensuring early detection and management of eye conditions. We help individuals see the world more clearly with the correct prescription for spectacles when needed.
Mobility Devices
Enhancing independence and mobility, our range of wheelchairs and walking aids are designed to cater to various needs.
Rainwater Harvesting
Addressing water scarcity, our rainwater harvesting systems provide a sustainable water source for families in the dry zone.
Audiometry Screening
Our Audiometry Screening Unit conducts comprehensive hearing tests, helping diagnose conditions and fitting for hearing aids.
Rehabilitation Services
Our specialized physiotherapy unit offers comprehensive rehabilitation to ensure safe and effective use of prosthetic devices.
Outreach Camps
Through our outreach camps, we extend our services nationwide, offering personalized fittings and training for artificial limbs.
Cataract Surgery
In partnership with local organizations, we provide cataract surgery to restore vision for individuals in rural areas.
