Mid-Day Meal Programme in a Rural School

On 14 February 2024, the Centre for Handicapped, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kandy, launched a Mid-Day Meal Programme at Guruvelayaya Primary School in Wasgamuwa. Generously funded by the Rotary Club of Salamanca, the programme provided nutritious meals to 55 students over a 60-day period.

The initiative aimed to support the health, well-being, and educational development of children in this rural community by ensuring access to regular and nutritious meals during their school day.
