Enhancing Mobility and Changing Lives

Through the generous support of the Alaka Holdings Trust, the Centre for Handicapped implemented an Orthosis and Prosthesis Donation Programme to support underprivileged individuals in the Anuradhapura and Kandy regions.

During the initial phase, 26 orthotic devices were provided to 16 patients, along with 31 prosthetic devices to individuals in need. These mobility aids have helped beneficiaries improve their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

CFH extends its sincere gratitude to Brahmal Vasudevan and Shanthi Kandiah for their generous support, and to the hospitals, administrative offices, and CFH staff whose cooperation contributed to the success of the programme. Special appreciation is also extended to Mark and Donna Penny for introducing CFH to the Alaka Holdings Trust and helping make this meaningful partnership possible.
